As for formats honestly I like to stream so listen to grooveshark a lot, I know not the greatest probably but its decent. when I get music or rip CDs ill try to get 256k or 320k. I suppose I could get all caught up in FLAC but they're too big for what I want to do with them. Not really a big deal on the computer, but something to think about if you ever plan on putting it on a portable player or CD for the car.
