Hey everyone!

My Klipsch S4 are slowly dying and I've finally got some cash to spend so it's time to stop their suffering and upgrade! I'm willing to spend about 150 EUR on some new IEMs, up to a maximum of 180 EUR (200 USD) if it's really worth the investment.

I consider myself a basshead, though a present midrange (vocals) is important to me too. Aside from the lack of sub-bass I really liked the bass of my S4's. I didn't like the fact that the mid- and upper range is a bit receded though, so I guess what I'm looking for are bass-oriented IEMs that can really rumble, without a mid- and upper range that suffer from it. Balance isn't my highest priority; I'd be happy with a 'fun' sound signature. Accessories like extra tips and pouches are always nice but what I'm really looking for is value.

I mainly listen to EDM (DnB, hardstyle), hip-hop, rock, and some lighter genres like blues and jazz. I live in Europe so unfortunately I don't have access to everything like the Dunu DN1000 or even the ATH-IM70. If I'd want anything like that it'll add about 25 USD shipping to the price.

Thus far I've already considered the Sennheiser Momentums, ARH T10i and M750i, Klipsch R6, Shure SE250 and Sony XBA H1. Do you guys have any other suggestions that I should look into now that I've increased my budget a bit?

A friend of mine has the S4 as well, but he really preferred my JBL Synchros S200 with Comply Foam Isolation tips inserted backwards.

I also used to have the S4, but I much prefer the JBL's instead. Bass: JBL > Klipsch, using the same tips.

I've listened to a JLab Epic but those don't sound as warm as the JBL's.

If I had to knock on the JBL's, the clarity isn't that great. It's on par with the S4. (i.e. they're both not great compared to higher end IEMs)

I'm getting a few more chinese IEM's in a few weeks and will have some more opinions later.

I got my JBL's used on Amazon for about $40, they retailed at $120 at their highest.

  Fender FXA2

Looks like these won't be available for another 5 weeks at least where I live. Is it right that they're the same as the Aurisonics Kickers? Anyway, thanks for the tip! Plenty of threads to read through :p

It sounds like these would only be a minor upgrade from the S4's right? I'm willing to spend a bit more than €80 (what they cost here) to get a proper upgrade, thanks for the suggestion though! I'll see if I can find any more info about them.

Future Sonics G10. JVC fx850 if you don't need isolation.

Suggest looking through the lists here too : http://www.head-fi.org/t/761433/head-fi-basshead-iem-thread-lists-page-1
