I'm looking for DAC as my computer has started to generate squeaky noises when moving the mouse and doing some operations. Guess some component is failing and is emitting some electric interference
A good excuse to get a DAC finally
 
My option is to either go with Bel Canto DAC2 or Cambridge Audio Dacmagic plus (the older one with max 96kHz input).
Used I can get them at almost the same price. So I'm having hard time picking the right one. Anyone have experience with either of them?
 
My setup consists of 
Grado RS1i 
AKG k550
 
Little Dot Mk II
Xonar Essence STX
 
Also have Event 20/20 bas monitors.

When you installed the Essence STX, did you disable the motherboard's on-board audio, in the BIOS?

Yup it is disabled, but I can only hear this interference in my studio monitors, guess they are ultra sensitive. Also noticed this morning that it's only on the left channel and wonder if it is picking up some EM from the computer, which is located within 40cm of the speaker. Will have to move things around once I get off work.

I can recommend other PSU like Seasonic X series.

Aslo disable in BIOS all parallel, serial ports and other devices who using IRQ!
