Hi there.

I work from home and spend a lot of time on the phone. Currently, I'm using a headset designed for an xbox 360 and it has worked really well because of the mixed modes of wireless it uses. The bluetooth connects to my AT&T bluetooth desk phone and then it uses some type of wireless to connect to a little hub that uses optical audio in from my desktop.

The things that I DON'T like about it:
It's getting old/worn
Bluetooth randomly cuts out at relatively short distances from the phone (this happens both on my iphone or on my desk phone)
Wireless audio from the "hub" (not bluetooth) has a very limited range.

I'd really like something that has solid bluetooth AND has a longer range for audio from my PC. Sound quality isn't necessarily #1 requirement, but the more the merrier.

Is you are looking for a purely Bluetooth headset then I have no clue, but skullcandy has the plyr 2 and they are wireless. Unfortunately I don't have much experience with wireless headsets.
I do know a bit about Bluetooth headphones. Only ones in that price range that have a mic that I know of are the beats studio wireless. Mic is pretty good, most people didn't realize I was using a mic and not my phone, so that seems good. They are fairly comfortable, but after about 4 or so hours you may need to take a break as the earcups can apply pressure to the back of your ears causing mild discomfort. A short break alleviated this though so it isn't too worrisome.

Doesn't need to be purely bluetooth, in fact I prefer it not to be. I've seen some examples of more purely office type of headset that use a hub that has bluetooth.

basically, the hub can accept bluetooth as well as USB. So, the hub is what connects to your bluetooth phone, THEN is transmits via DECT to the headset which gives you much more range. This is the ideal setup, i just want the best sound quality I can find for that setup.
