My HE-500 recently broke, so now i'm searching for a pair of new headphones that sound similar to them.
I was interested in the LCD-2 w/ fazor, but I've heard that they have less bass extension than the HE-500, which is a problem for me. I'm not searching for a "boomy" bass, but I use my headphones as "general purpose" (music, movies and games), so the presence of some "rumble" is appreciated. And generally speaking, I prefer warm sound signatures to bright ones. I also need good imaging and soundstage (so no closed headphones).

My current budget is 1000$. Oh, and I'm using a Lake People G109-P amp, so I guess I can't really use headphones much harder to drive than the HE-500.
If you guys have some heads-up about the LCD-2, or other alternatives, I'm all ears.

Thanks. :)

Get a used pair of LCD-2s,pre fazor.
Mine have better bass extesion than my HE-500s,but the 500s have harder impact.
