Hi there dear reader,

A friend of mine recommended me to browse arround this forum whenever I'm looking for a good pair of headphones, so that's why I ended up posting this question here. I have already been searching for advice on sound isolating headphones on this forum, but I haven't really been able to find anything conclusive. In other words, I'm still looking. :p Anyways, in 2 weeks I'll be flying from the Netheralands to the United States, and I'm still looking for a pair of headphones to use during the flight. They will mainly be used for watching movies on my phone (Or maybe on the airplane itself). There main purpose on the flight is obviously to block out as much sound of the engine as possible. I really would like to avoid IEM's, I find them very uncomfortable and unpelasant to use ;( . If it's any help (Though it should be noted that I prioritize isolation over sound quality here), I'm using my pair of Grado sr60i's daily. I really like them for listening to rock and punk, and everything in between (Artists I like are the Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against, etc.). I have been looking at Audio Technica ATH-M40X's and 50X's, but I couldn't figure out how well those pairs of headphones isolate. I hope this post is clear enough for some good advice, and thanks for reading!
