but I thought since I'm looking for something not so run of the mill I make a thread

ok what I want

not run of the mill, not like the akg 240 ext
not so normal looking and not at all like cans of today. I want to look different.
full size
lots, lots and lots of sound stage. the more the better
loud loud, loud, the louder the better, blow your brans out loud
lots of tremble and vibration
vintage late 60's early 80's 1970's preferred
50$ or less


any info on quad speaker cans ?

any other tips

Just a thought, but why not get any headphone you like the sound of, and take the pretty plates/plastic off. Then put all kinds of neat stuff on it that you like, like wrapped copper or brass. Gears. Whatever. Make it steam punk or just like weird 60's sci-fi stuff. Then you get the best of both worlds. Eclectic style, and good sound.

that is a good idea, but I'm not looking for a project
I'm not looking for anything in particular, just not run of the mill
TBH I quite don't know what I'm looking for other then something different
