Hello.
I'm looking for suggestions on headphones with realistic sound. I know that's a very vague term, but I'm hoping I can explain a little further:
I want a pair of headphones I can wear, close my eyes, and just drift and get lost in my music. Bass isn't important, but need to be prevelent, obviously. I suppose a good soundstage would help.
I have 2 pairs of headphones right now, both cheap, and not satisfying me for the following reasons:
Sennheiser HD 202: No soundstage at all. (But the sound is excellent for the price.)
Razer Electra: Better Soundstage, but distorts at higher volumes, and if there are multiple loud instruments playing at the same time in a song, the lowest one overpowers the other instruments. It's kind of muddy in a way. For example, in songs like Bloody Mary by Lady Gaga, I can barely hear the bassline in detail. (But these headphones are soooooooooooo comfortable, I forget that I have them on.
Most of the music I will be listening to in these headphones will be calmer stuff. Like The Beatles, Death Cab For Cutie, etc.. ESPECIALLY The Beatles though.
Balanced sound and a good soundstage are VERY important. Comfort is really important as well.
I may be asking a lot for under $100, but please do you best for that price limit, I can't go any higher at all.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thank you.
(Also, as a bonus, if you'd like to suggest a pair of headphones along with this under $100 pair for me to get whenever I have more money, please do! No higher than $500 though)
