Hello.
I am looking for a pair of open back headphones under $500. I would use them primarily for listening to electronic music (most sub-genres, i.e. future bass, electro) and would also use them for gaming.
I already have Solid State amp.

Maybe read about a DT990 and see what you think. It has good bass extension and a nice soundstage for gaming. If that does not seem to fit, you might look into a Fidelio X2. It also would have good bass for electronica as well as a quite wide stage. I do not think an HD650 (HD6XX) or a K7XX will have the proper sound signature for primarily electronic music listening (though both are good for gaming in their own way), FWIW. You will need an amp for the DT990.

If you want bass for EDM, why not a closed headphone?
