These would mostly be used for when I'm walking.
I walk about 2-3 hours per day (of which about 40 min is in relativly high traffic conditions), and seeing as I recently bought a Iriver H120 I need headphones to use with it.

Unfortunely I really can't afford anything that is above $100. I listen to mostly rock, so isolation and bass, mids seem to me like the most important.

I guess it's noisy while you're walking? Ear canal phones would be good for that. Consider Sharp MD33s from http://audiocubes.com . Some people will suggest Shures or Etys, I found Shures to lack clarity, haven't tried etys.

If you don't want canal phones, Sennheiser MX400/500 earbuds are widely recommended.

For larger headphones do a search on Sennheiser 25 - there are a few variations. There's always Sennheiser 280 Pro, but they're a bit bigger.

There are other cheaper headphones, but someone else will have to suggest them for you, I don't know much about 'em.

Only problem with canal phones is they can be annoying for walking. You will hear each footstep THUMP through canal phones. Its not a very loud thump but definatley noticable and hard to ignore (at least for me).

If you can get past this difficulty canal phones are great.

Some people say canal phones arent comfortable but I found them to be acceptable in this area.

Well for now the 280pro seem like a safe bet,to put my money on.
I like having bigger headphones... I guess I find them more comfortable.

Also that thump sounds like it would get a little annoying on longer walks.

Well seeing as something unexpected happended and doubled the amount of money I could spend on these headphones (to $200...yay)

So I'm thinking about the HD-250II... but can these be well driven with my Iriver?

Since you now have $200 to spend get the Sennheiser HD-25. The pair of cans are my next upgrade for my portable rig.

They seem like good cans...although what do I know..havn't even seen/heard them in real life.

The 25's seem like they wouldn't protect me from outside noise as well as bigger headphones... so I havn't really looked at them that much

Well, the HD250II is ill-suited for use with unamped portable players. It is very inefficient, so even the maximum volume setting of that iHP may still be too quiet, especially in noisy surroundings. Furthermore, it is too bright to be of much good (sound-wise).
