i like the sound on my current m50's but get tires of them because they tend to get warm for my ears and have to take them off after a while, im looking for something comfortable with excellent sound, the main music i listen to is : indie,rock,punk. and a lot of gaming too. 
 
i was considering the Vmoda 100m. and the sony mdr-1a. 
 
im looking for something on that price range. 
 
i would like to know some opinions on these headphones or if you have other suggestions that would be greatly appreciated.

Have you considered open headphones? Not good for portable use, but the bigger soundstage makes them better for gaming and more enjoyable for music. If you are interested, consider the Phillips X1 or X2.
