Budget - €250 max but preferably a bit lower priced.

Source - Fiio E10k or K5 Pro(still have to decide on a dac/amp)

Requirements for Isolation - Close to none. Will be using them almost only at home.

Will you be using these Headphones in Public? Rarely

Preferred tonal balance - Overall balanced. This will be my first set of "proper" headphones so I am no way considered an audiophile.

Past headphones - Gaming headsets mostly. Using a Logitech G430 at the moment and I have Sony WH-1000XM3 at the moment. As I said before I am not that knowledgeable yet as of now. But I can tell the audio on my headset is pretty bad.

Preferred Music - It's a wide range. Mostly hip-hop, classical, lo-fi and pop.

What would you like to improve on from your set-up - I am looking for a pair of headphones that will improve my sound in FPS games and overall better quality in music. They are not required to be the most comfortable headphones as I won't be wearing them like 10 hours a day. More like 4 hours tops. Also I am really curious what proper headphones sound like.

Location - The Netherlands

Lastly I have been looking at Beyerdynamic as a brand but haven't heard a lot of positive stuff about the 770/990 lately but all advice is very welcome!

Thank you!

I don`t think you have much in that budget to play with as an "all in one". I would like to be proved wrong, hopefully other users will hopefully chime in:)
I demoed quite a few gaming gaming headsets and ended up buying a SteelSeries Arctis, but side by side with something relativey humble like a Shure 840....the 840 was far better as an all rounder.

Well at least thank you for taking the time to reply! :)

Thank you for the suggestion! I have decided on buying the DT 880 with a Fiio amp. Really curious how it's gonna sound! :D
Hard to go wrong, enjoy your new headphones! I'm a fan of the Beyerdynamic sound. Only recommended the AKGs because they are known for a very wide soundstage which can be helpful in FPS gaming.

To me the DT880 is a little too bright for my taste, also like to talk people into getting headphone under 250-Ohms.
Something you could always use with a smartphone or DAP, if needed.

Yeah, that makes sense. For my phone I will be using my IEMs so in this case the headphones are purely for my desktop though :) What headphones would you have suggested?
