So, I joined here after lurking for a while.
Right now I'm using some piece of junk Skullcandy headset running 120kbp/s AAC. Needless to say, I'm not entirely satisfied with the sound. ^_^
Budget: About $90, slightly flexible.
Music: Classical, Alternative, Folk, a small bit of metal, etc.
Examples: Weezer, Bach, Prokofiev, Jonathan Coultoun, RHCP, Cage the Elephant
Source: iPod, Computer (soundcard: USB Steelseries Gaming Series)
I'm looking at two:
Head-Direct RE0
JVC HA-RX 900, with mods.
Which is better?
Also, how do the HA-RX 900 and 700 compare? The 700 is cheaper, but does it have sound quality as good as that of the 900?
