Hi there!

A friend of mine recommended checking this website / the forums, so I did, aaand here I am. Looking for some IEMs.

So in short I'm currently searching for some IEMs that have a neutral and slightly warm sound signature. It would be great it they can pack some bass. I am of course not getting them for bass only, just to get the bass out of some songs (maybe that defeats the purpose of neutral?). BTW; I have a tendency to destroy the cable at the 3,5mm jack, so it would be great to have a replaceable cable.

My price range is around 100$, I've been looking at some Shure's. The SE215-K's. The reviews I've read are quite positive and the cable is detachable, warm and neutral with a bit of bass.
Soo I was wondering of some of you here could give me some alternatives or whether I should get these, or not?

My purpose for these earphones is mainly daily usage, but also some dedicated usage in video editing and audio tweaking in those videos. I just love some good audio experience, but don't have enough knowledge on the subject to make a decision myself. I've ran thru numerous Xiaomi Piston V2 / v3's, Apple Earpods, etc. and now looking for a more permanent set.

I hope this was a bit clear and maybe you can help me out :)

EDIT: some grammar..

Would like to see if you get any suggestions.  Sounds like we have similar preferences.

I had some NuForce NE 700x that I loved, but they bit the dust.  I just bought some Brainwavz M3 and I like them. They're pretty neutral IMO but they are not bassy enough for me.  They are good for overall sound quality and I think my lighter & classical playlists sound incredible on them. Think I'll keep them & purchase something bassier myself in the coming months.

Also new here, and in my post, the sennheiser momentum in ear and sure se215 were recommended, but would like to hear other opinions, too.

Anyway, just wanted to comment so I can watch your thread, too. :)  Hope we can both find our perfect IEMs in this price range.

Good to know you're looking for some in the same range too :)

I'll have a look at the Sennheiser momentum in ears.

Thanks,

Hi, maybe check out Trinity Audio. They make great iems. I have the Delta model which have interchangeable filters to tweak the SQ. Check them out here using the search window. Their customer service is second to none Also have a look at RHA again have models that should suit you re build price point and audio.. best of luck.

They look great! Reviews I've read are amazing, but I just got the Shure SE-215 :)

@ Everyone who replied. Thanks for your answers!

For me Brainwavz S1 have this slightly warm signature. These are budget IEM's but I prefer them than e.g. Carbo Tenore or JVX KX-100 because of that warmer sound that I think they have

Hey Casper, wondered if you got your SE215s yet?

Went with Audio Technica ATH-IM70 myself, very happy with these as a replacement for my NuForce NE 700x.  Hope you are enjoying your Shures too!

I'd say the Carbo Tenore from Zero Audio is fairly neutral, and a relative steal with enough change from $50 for a beer.
