I have a 300 budget anything in-between over ear. i want the best. i was looking at the psb m4u1 are these really the best for 300?

Another personal favorite is the DT770 Anniversary Edition. Its bass is a little flabby but its just so darn likable.

Haven't tried the m4u1 due to it's unavailability in our country but the Momentums probably are the best unamped headphones I have ever tried. It will be best if you try both to know which sound character is for you.

It depends on what you call 'best' I tried them and think they are okay but you could find others equally good if not better.

Depending on your prefered sound signature, the KEF M500, V-Moda M-100, Sennheiser Momentum, among others are considered some of the best in that price range.

matter of preferance but it has gotten very nice reviews... might be the safest option!
