Looking for good headphones with great bass for dubstep music under $60

It's the source.
Believe it or not. A lot of dubstep songs have that clicking in the back. Most especially if they are not high quality recordings.

Almost always it is timed with the beat of the song.

I noticed them when as I got more detailed/revealing iems and headphones.

So. maybe it's just testament that despite the hella bass and "muted" mids and highs, the XB500s are better than your titans?

Yes I like the xb500s a lot better than the titans so far. The only think I don't like besides the clicking is noise leakage. But honestly, the bass level is just perfect for me. I'm going to try some higher quality recordings of the same tracks I had problems with and see if that solves my problem

Here are a couple of test tones. At moderate volume the drivers shouldn't click. You may have blown them.

Try this one.

Not sure why it's clicking then. Maybe driving it too loud. What song is clicking?

Songs like vava voom (bassnectar) vision (gemini) bass cannon (flux pavilion) and here we go (bassnectar) are songs that click in the background. I play them at 192kbps. Just look them up o YouTube and see what I'm talking about. It normaly clicks on the beat in the background like some one said on the other page of this forum.

30hz, 40hz, etc. are what your music is going to have in terms of bass notes. Search youtube for those frequencies. No need to play sub 30hz tones.

I listened to Vision on this youtube link with my Denon D2Ks

I don't hear clicking.

Unless you're talking about clicking that's actually part of the song (like at the beginning).
If that's the case, then the XB500s are worse than I initially thought.

Vision is one of the dogs that doesn't have as much clicking. No it doesn't click in the beginning but there are slightly noticeable clicks in the background around the "bass drop" part. I geuse this might be the "muddy" bass people were talking about?

Do you have bass booster eq or any other eq on? How loud are you listening to this song? Clicking is more than likely the driver bottoming out from being over driven.

Ok what exactly is a bottomed out driver? I don't have any EQ on and I tried listening to this at high levels and medium levels and the clicking is still there however, it seems to go away when playing at a low level. Not all songs do this. So I'm not sure if its the headphones because I can listen to bass head bass boosted (bassnectar) which has intense bass and there is no clicking whatsoever in that song. Just search YouTube "bass head bass boosted" and cluck on the one with 300,000+ views.

xb500's win. The slightly dark sound signature would also make all those high pitched squeals in dubstep less offensive to the ear. LOL not criticizing dubstep, I listen to some Zomboy or Knife Party sometimes
