Why I'm looking for new headphones:

I recently had my AKG K371BT break, one of the plastic things snapped and I've kinda fixed it, but it's only a matter of time before the one on the other side breaks too. (It also has some weird issues like randomly powering off for no reason, and the touch sensitive volume breaking sometimes.) This has made me think about how many headphones I've had that still work, but have ended up becoming too broken structurally that I don't want to use them. This is a pretty low priority in my list of stuff to buy, so it might be a while before I actually buy anything, but I would like to know what I want to buy now so I don't have to worry about it later.

What aspect of your current listening experience would you like to improve? - Not much, maybe something with a bit more bass, but more so than anything I want something made out of preferably metal or durable thick plastic. I would also like something with a better codec than SBC, but I rarely notice the latency, even when gaming.

Budget - I don't want to spend much more than $250. I'm alright with going open box, but I'm not sure if I want to go used because batteries love to expand, unless the battery is somewhat easily replaceable (not requiring soldering).

Source/Amp - I will mainly be using Bluetooth, I would like headphones where I can forget to charge them for a day and not have to worry about running out of battery, 40 hour headphones have been great regarding this. Sometimes I would want to use them wired, for example out of an old phone or iPod with old/no Bluetooth, so I would like a 3.5mm jack too. I'm not interested in getting an AMP, I don't want to have to use one.

How the gear will be used - I mostly use them at my home on my computer. I sometimes game, but I'm not interested in gaming headsets. I have no need or want for active noise canceling, but I would prefer something closed back because bass, and in the off chance I use them in public, I don't want others to hear my music. Also I only want over ear headphones because they're the most comfortable and give the best seal. I sometimes am a bit clumsy and drop my headphones, but more often than not most things I use break with use than from a drop.

Preferred tonal balance - I like bass, my K371BT's are pretty good sounding to me, so I would like something with a similar frequency graph.

Preferred music genre(s) - I mostly listen to EDM, anything from DnB to dubstep to tracker music, and so on. I also like some rap. I usually listen to music about as loud as is comfortable to me. However, I mostly just watch YouTube videos at a medium volume more than anything.

Past gear experience - I previously used the Skullcandy Crusher Wireless, and before that, the Logitech G930, both ended up with lots of glue and tape to keep them together. I also got the Crusher Evo before getting my K371BT's, but I returned them, because I preferred even my broken Crusher Wireless at the time. I don't think I want more Crusher series headphones due to bass not having as much detail as my K371BT's, but I have kinda been thinking about getting the Crusher 360's.

What I've found so far -

Option 1: ATH M50xBT(2) - These seem to fit my requirements, but I'm not entirely sure. They look like they're built of plastic.

Option 2: Skullcandy Crusher 360 - These are made out of metal, but they're another set of Crusher headphones, and I'm not sure if I want to main headphones like those anymore. I would also need to get it used as it's not made anymore.

Honorable Mention: VModa M200 - These fit almost all of my requirements, but there are two problems with it. It's way too expensive and the battery life will be good enough for a day, but if I forget to charge them, or pull an all-nighter, it might become a problem.

Can't speak to the ones you've listed but the Sennheiser Momentum 3 or Sony XM4 when it goes on sale will fill the bass need. The Sony's bass is a little more bloated to me, but some people really enjoy it. I've also owned the Crusher EVO--it's fun until the fun wears off, which is maybe two songs.

I saw the Momentum 3, but I noticed there were many Momentums, earbuds, headphones, etc and I didn't know which one was which when looking at graphs. Also the battery life is a bit poor. The XM4's look a bit better, I'll do some research on them.

Yeah, I get ~14 hours out of the Momentum 3, but the SQ is worth it. When I was researching wireless headphones, this was the best mix of build, comfort, sound, and ANC which I need for flights. I also have the True Wireless ones... those are not great but fine for the occasional use.

Sennheiser Momentun 3 and Sony XM4 as @msing539 mentioned I would like to add the Shure Aonic 50 to the list, better construction and materials same high-quality sound, and with their own app, you can customize the sound on all these 3 headphones :ok_hand:, definitely an upgrade to the AKG.

V-Moda Crossfade wireless 1 or 2 with XL pads are both Excellent Choices. Especially if you use a slight eq adjustment. Very detailed. Build quality is awesome. They can be used wired mode also.

The XM4 seems pretty good, but it has awful touch controls. The Shure Aonic 50 looks better, but the battery life seems a bit low, enough for a day, but not if I forget to recharge it.

I don't need ANC, so I'm wondering if disabling it would get me more battery.

Edit: I looked at a graph, it appears the Aonic 50 has less sub-bass and mids and more high end, which I don't want, treble hurts my ears enough already. So I'm removing it from my list.
