Hi there everyone! I'm new, so if I ask any dumb questions, please go easy on me.
Right now, I'm using an old Logitech G430 headset. I bought some really nice bookshelf speakers, and would like to step up my headphone game now.
I'd be mainly using these for gaming, and listening to an assorted variety of music, such as:
- Rock, such as Shinedown.
- Various genres of House
- Heavy Metal
- Rap
Basically all types of music except for classical. So I guess I'm looking for the best all-around headphones that I can enjoy listening to.
The games I play, if they mean anything, are:
- Overwatch
- CS:GO
- GTA
- Fallout/Skyrim
Again, just a mix of games.
My friend owns the M50X, but I'd like to take a step up from that. If I need to buy an amp, please recommend one for somewhere around 100-150 dollars if possible.
Headphones I've seen people recommend:
DT770/880/990. The 990's were really compelling to me, but after reading a bit, people were saying the treble is really harsh. I might like that, but I don't want to take the risk. I'm not too sure on the 770/880's, though.
I've also seen people recommend the HD600s, as the HD650's are a bit out of my price range.
If anyone has any good recommendations, or personal experience on any of the headphones I've mentioned, please let me know.
