Hello,
I got a pair of Sennheiser IE80's a couple months back, and I am looking for a desktop amp to run them with. In my current setup I have a Xonar Essence STX, which I have been pretty happy with, but recently I have been reading about how the high output impedance of the STX (~10 ohm) can be detrimental to the sound quality on low impedance headphones like mine. I got pretty excited watching some review of the Objective2/ODAC combo, and I was wondering if anyone could weigh in and tell me if that would appreciable improve my sound quality, and if it would be a worthwhile upgrade for the cost (~$200-250).
