Hi
The Sony MDR7506's are industry standard for the type of work I want to do with them (monitoring audio off video camera on location).
 
Was just wondering if anyone could recommend something identical in terms or price-quality but a little more portable , ie folding etc.
 
Any suggestions?

The Sony sound signature is typically Sony as is the headphone in question.
 
If you really dig the Sony sound you could buy a second 7506 and modify it for portable use. Of course the Sony is already portable but you can make it more portable. Otherwise a 7505 is advertised as a more portable version of the 7506. Good luck...
