Budget <200

i have owned an UM2 before and personally i dun like it because of the excessive bass ...

I love my previous Er4P so much but finally it is broken ..

so, can anyone suggest an IEM which has a sweet and thick vocal like 240M with little bass?

i dun care about Highs unless it is too harsh for my ears..

Thank you all headfiers

Why not give the ultimate ears super.fi 5pro's a try? I just got my pair in on monday and love them. I will deff. need more time to enjoy them and burn them in, but so far, they are absolutely great!

Super.fi 5pro and UM2 are generally classified in the same sound signature class, so I wouldn't recommend that when you didn't like the UM2s. I think you might be one with ears for the Shure E4s. Less bass than UM2s and cristal clear mids and highs, but still pretty musical. E4s are generally seen as more in one sound signature class with the ER4s, but with somewhat more bass and somewhat less harsh treble (dun know, because I've never heard the ER4).

I do not know how much bass the UM2's give off, but the super.fi 5pros do not seem overwhelmed with bass. This is my opinion and if you liked the UM2's but not the bass, maybe others can stand up and suggest the super.fi's. What about the UM1's? Many are starting to buy them and comment on them. I have not heard anything bad about them so far.

Difficulty is that I haven't heard the Super.fi 5pros, so I can't state anything on their bass vs. UM2 bass. To my ears UM2 bass is not at all excessive (except with the wrong sleeves (foam)), but if fatko prefers the ER4 signature, that should be pretty much on the other end of the sound spectrum as far as I read from these forums. My E4s also have a very different sound signature from my UM2s and from what I read about ER4, the E4s should be close to ER4 but with more bass (though no where near the bass of the UM2). E4 need a reasonable amp though, on <5G iPod they seem to have no bass to speak off.
