I'd like to get a decent quality 1/4" to 3.5mm extension type adaptor. Doesn't need to be a long extension, I want this style mainly to protect my AT plug and my Zune's jack from accidental wear and tear. A right angle mini would be even better, I suppose.

Any suggestions where to find one?

I believe Sennheiser also makes an adapter like the one you are looking for. I also believe I saw some cheaper ones in my local Radio Shack, but it's anyone's guess how good the quality on those would actually be.

You can ask AK[Zip] @ APureSound.com to make one for you. Using best components, $80 (shipped?) .

I had one made for me, just arrived this morning. Compared to the semi-generic, flimsy one I bought in Japan...

The no compromise 1/4 to 1/8 adaptor.

Senheiser has one very good, and Grado also has another for around $15.00
