Well its getting that time of year, and seeing as how i dont have family its time to make another upgrade to my setup. Ive ignored sound for the last 2 years when i got my swans, and they are pretty solid, i don't have any complaints, but god knows there's more i can add on. Im looking into a DAC as well as some other things, but to be honest i have zero idea what i want/need. So i guess im looking for anything you might recommend, dacs, amps, ****** new speakers if absolutely needed (im not big on replacing unless there is an obvious reason to do to though) anything you think adds on to an audio experience, so fire away. Oh and ive been in need of a desktop microphone, but it doesnt need to be super high quality or anything, just something i can communicate with that wont pick up too much unnecessary noise. My budget is like in the 500-600 dollar range overall, not including the mic.
Currently im using the built in Realtek ALC1150 thats in my GIGABYTE mobo (Z97X-SLI if it matters)(yeah i know, on board audio, dont be too harsh)
Ive got Swan 1080 iv's
a pair of sennheiser momentum 2's (over ear? i dont remember)
And i tend to watch movies, TV, play video games when i have spare time, and when im not watching something i pretty much always have some kind of music coming through my speakers.
I tend to listen to anything, things with heavy drums, guitars, highs, lows, pretty much everything, so im not looking for anything that will emphasize certain sounds way more than another unless there's a specific reason for it. Thanks in advance
