It has to be a small one but with a screen so you can see what's playing when the ipod+amp is in my bag. It also has to be able to connect via the normal hp-line out. I have the 4g 60gb photo version. I tried to find such a thing but haven't succeeded so far. I think we had one in our shop some time ago but can't remember what the brand was..
Maybe somebody has seen such a thing and knows where to find it..?
Well, maybe it doesn't even excist and I am haunting my own fairytale

I had the iJet two-way for my iPod. My experience was totally negative, and I now am very happy with the iJet without the display.

My iPod froze many times, the iJet display only worked correctly part of the time, and for me it was much more of a nuisance. Of course my listening habits may be different than yours. When I use my iPod for any length of time I just play simple shuffle mode. Therefore, if I get to a song I'm not in the mood for, all I need my remote to do is to skip one song forward.

On the go my ipod is usually on shuffle as well and that's were the problem is because I come across songs I don't remember the name of and wanna know. I have to drag the ipod + amp out of my bag and out of its own little bag and that's such a hassle each time..
Shoiting to hear that the iJet is not working properly.

Well, my search has ended! I found one wich can be connected to the hp-lineout on top of the ipod wich has an lcd wich shows you what song is playing + artist! Me happy!
For the ones interested it is from Logic 3. I'll give a link from the site.
We had in out store I just never noticed; it has been there for long long time...me bad!! Didn't bought it yet, have to get the mo first (50 euros for a damn remote) so I'll post my impressions of it as soon as I get it for the ones interested.

omg thank you for finding that!

Just what I needed.

I'm in the same boat as you, I don't like taking out the ipod and amp out of my bag to see the screen and what not (and the way I have it set up, it takes a while).

Now I just need to find a US dealer.

edit: i found one like that but it goes through line out. I need HP out

It looks like the one you found, made by logic 3, and is line out.

edit 2:if i knew what pins they used I could skimpy strip it down, and mod it in my line out cable.

I can see if I am able to find one for you as well and ship it to you if you like if you are willing to pay for the shipment costs.
I also mostly came across remotes that only work from the dock line-out.
Just let me know.

One thing that keeps my mind a little occupied..if you use a remote wich connects via the dock line out, you don't use the internal opamp of the ipod, right?? The same thing that happens when you connect with an amp, right?
So does that mean there is an opamp in the remote???
Seems kinda strange to me and I guess I am wrong on this one..maybe someone has an answer to this one...?

Without being able to open up the remote, you can't really be sure. But if it can drive headphones with middling sensitivity, it's a pretty good bet that there's an op-amp based amplifier section in the remote.
