Grado sr60 vs. sr80 vs. sr125 anyone???

I will primarily be using them to listen to Hip-Hop & Electronic Beats (House, Electro, Breaks, Drum & Bass). So which means i am looking for a pair of cans that can deliver deep, powerful, clean, tight Bass, liquid and warm Mids, and smooth and sparkling Highs. I heard the sr80 have a little more bass, but are these the right pair out of the 3?

Or can anybody recommend another Brand or a certain type of Headphones that can deliver audiophille quality that will pair up beautifully with my tastes in music? My price range/ limit is between $100-$300, comfort is secondary, i am looking for QUALITY SOUND. Also it has to be FULL-SIZE headphones.

Any feedback would be great.

I think the SR-60 is a hugely enjoyable entry point. I've listened to a number of them and have given away quite a few as gifts. Seems like everyone loves them and they're easier to drive than most headphones discussed here. An iPod or other DAP usually does fine. Apart from the sound, if you ever want to upgrade from the SR-60, they sell almost instantly in the forums.

While I have not heard them, a lot of the Head-Fi bassheads seem to gravitate to the Beyerdynamic DT770. Run a few searches for the DT770 and see if you like what turns up. I believe the DT770 is at its best with an amp, however, so that would be an additional expense. Not to mention another complete forum of discussion!

My sense is that if you want lots of bass, you might want to stay away from Grados. My SR60s don't have lots of bass, but maybe that changes with the higher models. Beyer DT770 Pro is a favorite among bass lovers here, and for good reason. Also you might want to look at the Equation Audio RP-22x. I've never heard them, but I have heard that they have tons of bass.
