Hi,
I am looking for a new set of headphones. I currently listen to Hifiman HE-500s which I bought 5 years ago. These are connected to a Bifrost/Lyr2 dac/amp. I listen to a wide range of music mostly through Tidal and some favourite albums I have bought in FLAC format.
I was looking into the Audeze LCD-2s and Sennheiser HD 800 or Fostex th-900. I am also thinking taking a completely different route and buying Stax earspeakers with a driver.
The goal of the upgrade is two fold: having new toys and at the same time I am looking for phones that are a bit quicker and give a wider sound stage. Any recommendations?
