Hey there, guys! :L3000:

I'm coming from a SteelSeries Arctic Pro, been a good ride but plastic broke real bad and for an almost €200 worth headset I'd expect better, honestly.

Anyhow, I'm trying to figure out what's my best next suit, and I wanted to ask you guys for advice!

Here's my personal list:

[Requirements]:
  • Game/Chat channels to regulate via software & hardware wherl on the headset
  • NO wireless (unless it allows me to ALWAYS be plugged in for continuous charge while using them, unlike Razer Nari ULTIMATE)
  • Possibly NO Razer products: I've had my share of troubles with this brand..
[Preferences]:
  • Game/Chat channel volume balance incorporated with the back of the headset rather than on an external moveable hardware;
  • Robust design so that I can just take 'em on and off in a whiff without having to bother with too much softness.
-------------------------------------------

Sorry if I sound too spoiled, however any help will be highly appreciated!

Thank you in advance :relaxed::heart:

Audeze Maxwell, check it out and see if that fits the bill.

They look really solid, but I can only find a wireless model?
Plus, €400 is really expensive for me :astonished:

Do you have anything to suggest me for a €150-200 range?
I believe Hyper X had a set that was based off the Audeze Mobius. That may be a little closer to your range. Also, for gaming Astro and Epos(Sennheiser) have a few offerings worth checking out. I can't really comment further as those headsets were the only ones I experienced previously.

I'd suggest waiting until Black Friday/Cyber Monday/ or Audeze sales and purchase the Maxwell for a potentially discounted price if possible.

As mentioned in the previous post: HyperX Cloud Orbit S. I had it, I can tell you that for gaming it was pretty good, it loses the wireless option to lower the price. The microphone is acceptable and being planar for gaming, the bass and bass information, scene and bass capacity (quality rather than being punchy) were great. My first planars, I really noticed them in the sound quality section.
Now comes the bad part, the drivers are fragile, they can't take a fall, that's how mine died and the other bad part I think I understand comes from the headset itself, even though the plugs, they have a battery to work (that's what happens for cutting the original in such a shoddy way) so I don't know what would happen if this battery dies.
On Amazon Spain they are for 119€ second hand with decent quality, for that price, they are fine.

The problem with the Hyper X O Orbit S is that it is not made with the same robust metal headband as the cheaper models, and there have been endless reports of headband breaking at the plastic joints.

Wouldn't recommend a headphone that only lasts a maximum of 2 or 3 years.

I've had a few Cloud Orbit and S models, they're really good for $125 open box. Drivers by Audeze and Mic made by Shure, the memory foam cups are really comfortable. I have a Beyerdynamic MMX300 and also on eBay you can get a great price and the mic is really good on them. Put the DT770 silver pads for more comfort and they're even better. If you know someone in the EU you can order the Manufaktur 600 ohm version from Beyerdynamic, but only from the factory in Germany.
