After a few years with HD25-1 ii, I've recently switched over to Beyerdynamic DT-1350.
These perform amazingly with some tracks. With others I feel like the highs could be empathised more over the mids.
Having almost no experience with amplifiers, I thought this might be an opportunity to expand in that direction.
My main sources are a MacBook Pro and an iPhone.
 
I'm looking for:

1. Either a mobile or a desktop amp. Optimally it'll be something I could pair with both devices, but if a desktop amp will give me much more bang for the buck I could consider one for the MacBook only.
2. Highest priority - empathising the highs a little over the mids, while not adding too much bass and not losing details.
3. Secondary priorities - a bigger soundstage, clarity, separation.
4. My budget is $100 or less, but if there are options that offer much more bang for a little more buck, it might also be an option.

 
What amps should I look at?

A FiiO Q1 ($70) would give you a USB DAC amp for use with a computer (Macbook) and an amplifier for use with the iPhone.
