I need a mini (small!) connector (male and female), gold-plated and shielded. Something like a BNC, but MUCH smaller. Nothing to do with audio, it is to connect microelectrodes to a potentiostat. Anyone knows a source for something like that?. I've been using single pins, but I'm trying to reduce noise and I want to use thin coaxial cable and shielded connectors.

Thanks!

I THINK i know what you are talking about. Can you provide a picture. I may have one if I am thinking about the right connector, if not, I am sure I can get one from my school.

The problem with those is that they are too big for this purpose.

Lots of the UFL on ebay (supposed to be used as antenna connections but they're cheap enough to hack up). As for the male, I've never seen one that isn't board-mounted, but you could still use it on the end of a cable with a little heatshrink.

Lemo and Fischer make shielded microconnectors in different styles aswell.
They have coaxial connectors , pin connectors in multi and single contact form, i think the smallest plug is ~6,5mm in diameter, but i might have overlooked something

I was about to mention the LEMO -00 connectors but I suspect even they might be too large for what you're after. They'll probably have smaller ones in their catalogue though.
