I am looking for a HT system with a dvd player. I will be using the system for movies and music. I was planning on spending no more than $650.

Go to stores and check out Panasonic SA-XR25/45, Toshiba SD4900/4960, Pioneer DV-578/563...Then you should have $450 left for speakers. Canton and Energy come to my mind at this price range.

This will be put in a relatively small room (15x15) and will almost never be used for movies, just music. I was just browsing the major retail stores and I saw this. It would be easier to be able to buy everything at once seeing as this is a Christmas present. I trust your opinions so I definitely would not buy it untill you guys give it the O.K.
