Looking for a Headphone SET amp

Looks like the Woo 6 as well.

Is there any list of SET headphone amps? I want to rule out the ones with only 8 ohm speaker taps as this is just not the right way to design a headphone amp IMO.

Any other leads would be appreciated.

Which headphone(s) do you use?

HD650's and sometimes AKG Sectetts, both high impedance phones.

Always wanted to try an SET headphone amp but what I find are SET amps with 8 ohm SPEAKER taps which is just not the right way to do it. I know true headphone OPT's are a rare bird but was hoping to find a commercial product with a good implementation.

Looks like the Woo 6 is the best option.

You might want to check out the DNA Sonett. I bought one and think it's sounds great with my HD600's and HD800's. The impedance selector switch really helps maximize each phone. In fact I actually prefer my HD800's in the low impedance position. The HD650's sound better in the high position. Go figure.

Give Eddie Current a look as well. I'm running an old EC2a3 SET headphone amp with custom Electraprint OPTs, and it's marvellous.

I had a similar experience with my amp... Tried both the HD800 and the HD600 on it, and the HD800 sounded better out of the low (33 ohm) tap than the high, while the 600 sounded better out of the high (300 ohm).
