Hi everyone,
I recently stepped into the audiophile world when I listened to my friend's Senn. HD 6XXs paired with a Creative Soundblaster x7. It was nothing like Corsair Vengeance 2100 wireless headset that I was using. Since then, I got myself some DT 990 Pros which were on sale and found out I couldn't power it enough with my desktop computer. Luckily, my dad kept an old analog audio receiver(audiolab 8000S) around gathering dust(he thought it was worthless in this digital age). It works beautifully albeit its kinda humongous for a beginner like me. I also bought a ground isolator to resolve the mains hum caused by the ground loop when I connected the receiver to my PC via motherboard audio.
TLDR: Now I'm looking for a DAC to pair with my setup. Budget: $200~ but I can go higher if any DAC at this price point is "unsuitable" for the audiolab. Also any comments about my setup(upgrade path from here etc) will be greatly appreciated.
