I just got a hpdac but I am already looking at my next purchases. Not to say that I was dissatisfied with my hpdac, on the contrary. Its just that you jerks have me totally hooked on destroying my bank account for the sake of music fidelity. Also, I need a good stationary home set up.

Ok, so the requirements are simple:

Around 300-500 dollars please.
Best DAC possible.
Jitter reducing would be nice.

Give me your suggestions fellas!

Thanks

^ahaha. i was looking at the hpdac! consider selling to me? (pm plz =P)

but for a range around 300-500 and assuming you wont have the hpdac around... Corda Aria USB... has built in amp too. not sure if that's the best for your needs though.

I have heard good things about the DIYEDEN Great March DAC Modified by Pacific Valves (here is the link: http://pacificvalve.us/DIYEDEDNGMM.html). It's priced at 330$ plus shipping, and it has the DIYEDEN de-jitter technology. Give it a look-see, and if anyone else has good suggestions or opinions on this DAC, please do share. Hope that helps.

I think I am going to order one of the DIYEDEN dac's now. I am trying to decide on if I should go with the BADA tuba amp or the cheaper and well tried Gilmore lite. I am going to dwell on it tonight. I hate the thought of having all my music on my PC and no decent dac to arrange all those 0's and 1's for me. I do love tube amps, but the price on the gilmore is much more budget friendly.

I have heard good things about the Eddie Current lunch box. And one his website it is advertised at 160$ + shipping. Just a thought.

Those show up every once in a while on the FS forums, they are usually very good deals when they come. Tube dacs are classy, you know you want it.

And if you have one of these then maybe you can justify getting the G-lite since you've already got tubes in your system (not that this reasoning makes any sense, but, hey!).
