...FPS gaming and music (like Sublime, Protest the Hero, k-os, System of a Down, Oasis). I basically need something with good imaging for my games, but that can hold its own with music like the artists I listed. I have looked around the site and have found that AD700's and AD900's are well respected as being quite musical with great soundstages, but sometimes lacking bass. Those are the 2 that I am currently looking at, and I have found them for reasonable prices on AudioCubes.

I currently own a pair of Senn HD 437's that are pretty muffled and a little too laid back. I am also somewhat ashamed to say that I also owned a uh....Steelseries headphone product =\. I would like a headphone that's more forward than the 437 but not so bright that the treble makes my ears bleed. This is my first post here to be gentle, and try to stay within my budget! 50% gaming, 50% music

well i've order the Denon ah-d1000 10 minutes ago. go on, you know it makes sense, especially becasue they're going for $119.99 t amazon.com.

i brought mine from hifibitz.co.uk for £84 which in't bad.


otherwise your intial choices weren't a bad idea either. hands up i've not read any reviews.
