My record is 32 hours, that's the effect of working double job, 3rd and 1st shift, sleeping less than 5 hours a day, and the last 2 days, I slept during 30 minutes break only. I was sleeping from around 11pm friday and wake up on 8am sunday. I still remember how shocked I was when my friend told me it's sunday already

About 2 weeks, give or take a few days, in intensive care. Ok, so that was mostly morphine induced sleep....

Without the morphine, probably ~ 14 hours.

There is no morfine induced sleep.

You can sleep on propofol, dormicum or ketanest or lorazepam but no morfine, sorry.

Nevertheless, it's **** to be on I.C.

This reminds me of a funny story. For me, it was about 18 hours. I was in graduate school and worked enlessely with 2 other guys on a group project over a long weekend. They left my place at about midnight, but I stayed up all night (2nd sleepless night in a row) to finish the project and turn it in to the Prof by the 10am deadline.

I fell asleep around noon and woke up to pee at about 6 when the sun was going down, so I picked up the phone to call one of the other guys and said, "Dude, just wanted to let you know that I go the paper in on time today..." About then I heard his wife say, "Who in the screw is calling us at 6 in the morning?"

The sun was on it's way up, not down!

I slept for 22 hours directly after coming home from a school-trip to France. Needless to say I find it difficult to sleep on planes.

The longest that i've ever slept for is 17 hours. It was after staying up for a few days, and quite a long "session with a lady friend
