I listen to rap while boarding, but at home i listen to bluegrass, jazz, jam, old acoustic delta blues and rock in that order. but still listen to every genre daily. i would like to get some headphones that i could where while boarding, good noise cancellation is a big to me, long boarding can be pretty loud. my only experience has been these forums, and the closed ear review from tao tao. from these i have been thinking about the Sennheiser HD 25-1 and the Audio Technica A900's. just wanted to get some feed back on how well they block outside sound, how well they handle the musical choices i have listed , and the sound quality of each. and if you have some other recs i could look into, I would greatly appreciate that as well.

thanks for taking the time.

much love, lumber.

Don't get a900s, they're too bouncy when you're in motion. Plus, they're too big, but the isolation is pretty good.

I have a pair of Skullcandy cans for snowboarding. The sound sucks but they look awesome and isolate outside noise very well and are quite durable. Plus they are styled like most other snowboarding gear so you'll look great while out there too, if that matters to you.

I have Beyer DT770s which could work out there in the snow (good isolation, durable, great sound for rap), but I wouldn't chance risking some nice cans.

I used my Shure E2c while snowboarding last winter season.
Barely could heard anything with low volume. With loud volume couldn't hear anything but my music.
Keep in mind that it could be dangerous sometimes. But i couldn't snowboard without my songs ...

actually that would be a perfect setup. I use these when skiing sometimes and they are great. They isolate and sound pretty good (a bit bass bloated, but not bad).
