Will this concert ever die?

What is this country's stupid obsession with remaking things can't possibly be like they were?

Lollapalooza should have died the day Metallica headlined at a NASCAR race track.

Sorry for the negativity, it really looks like it'll be a cool experience. They certainly could have called it something else, though.

yeah, it'll never be the lollapalooza that it was, but at least people can still enjoy the experience.

$130 is worth it just to see Sonic Youth alone IMO.

They headlined the last Lollapalooza I went to . . . a decade ago?!?! Half the crowd left after Hole played, but Sonic Youth put on a great show regardless. They did a 20 minute feedback solo that was transcendental.

Hum also played a great set on the second stage.

Half the crowd left after Hole played? LOL

Were they just being there usual selves or did C Love do something in particular to piss everyone off?!

Unfortunately, I think it was more that half the crowd viewed Hole as the headliner and had no interest in Sonic Youth. Their loss.

first off-im entitled to my opinion.
second, i respect the fact that you disagree with me.
third, im ticked off because Lallapalooza used to set the standard as far as large concerts was concerned. You could not possibly compare the line-ups of the past 5 years to those of the mid 90's. yes, maybe thats because commercial, above ground is utter crap in comparison, but there are TONS of better, more skilled bands that should be playing at a show like this. Palooza used to hunt for the great under-ground acts and expose them for the rest of us. You gotta be kidding me if you could even attempt to compare the talent of the Shins, Death Cab and Ryan Adams to NIN, Janes Addiction, Metallica, Tribe Called Quest, Cypres Hill, Beasties and the list goes on...
Granted there some solid acts...but they couldnt do better than this??
