I just acquired a used Jolida 302B this weekend
and was considering some new tubes. I know there are many good dealers on the net, but was wondering if there were any reputable dealers in the Seattle area. I believe that it might be best, and possibly educational, to purchase my tubes in person for my first tube rolling.
Also, should I wait a bit before rolling and get used to the tubes currently in the unit? Like a used vehicle, my inclination is to start with fresh replaceable parts (i.e. tubes) so I know just exactly where I stand in terms of their life and use. Finally, one of the EL 34's is not the same brand as the other three, but the seller supplied a tube that is supposed to be similar in country of origin, and biased it to the same setting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully I'll post some impressions in a few weeks after I have listened to it for some time.
