Hi
I m looking to acquire a pair of surround headphones to watch bluray movies while staying in hotels. I m actually using a pair of stereo headphones but as i m travelling with a laptop (connected to tv hotel when possible) , and a bunch of blurays (dumps) Im looking at a way to get the 5.1/7.1 DTS-HD MA / Dolby True HD surround effects.
I m aware of the Sony MDRHW700 and others but those require an HDMI AVR (tranceiver) that are not suitable for travels.
As i m using Powerdvd 15 under Windows and this software is capable of decoding HD Tracks into LPCM. Is is possible to send a 7.1 LPCM to a pair of USB headphones like the Logitech G633 or G933 that are gaming oriented headphones?
Those are labeled as 7.1 Dolby® or DTS Headphone:X Surround Sound and i don't get if it works only with specific compatibles games and/or stereo input of if, as i want, it can reproduce the 7.1 LPCM surroind sound decoded from Blurays tracks.
