Baines93, I notice from your profile that you're quite young (by Head-Fi standards). What are you going to do when your ears grow and the fit of the Livewires is no longer snug? Have them recast?

According to an audiologist I talked to recently, she said that teenagers needn't worry much more than adults about their ear growing too fast. She said it was more prevalent with toddlers and those under 10 years old.

Yeah.

Lol, yeah im only 15.

Having to have refits once a year, or less is no problem as these are a gift from the company to a someone who is "very interested in this field for his age" as he put it, and he knew i would love them, and had wanted a pair since i came to head-fi - they were in my dream portable and home setup. I cant wait.

Even if i have to have refits, at £20 or £40, i cant remeber, i can have lots of refits before i have spent the ammount they cost to buy, so either way its a win!

And even at this age when ears change most, i was told by him ~2+ years

Matt

I don't know. I use a Zen Vision M, but they havn't arrived yet, so tell you anything.

Ask in the Livewires: California Dreamin' thread.

I guess they wont, as its 5th gen, but if they do you can get a 50ohm cable for a small sum of money, althouhg this shouldnt be used unless needed as it changes the sound. Look in the LW CD thread again, its in there too.

Jus search the page for the impedance cable thingy info.

W00t. Got my impressions, sent them in. Kosmic, I'm getting the same color as you. Clear-clear had the blemish on the outside, I didn't like the red-blue-black mix, and everything else sucked.

Now, it's a matter of tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime... any idea how long I should be waiting? They say 3 weeks, but I've heard it's less/more.

Congrats! Depends on how busy they are and where you live, but be patient and a great pair of Livewires will be heading your way!
