Just to say that David apparently shipped out the first batch of these days. Or at least mine which must be near the first.

I should have it maybe the end of next week so I'm looking forward to that. I'll be partnering it with AKG 701s. I chose the little dot because the 2+ and 2++ seem to get very good reviews. Particularly for the price point.

The MKIII should have more power and it has separate tubes for each channel(I believe) which according to posts here cuts down on crosstalk.

David himself described it as an excellent match for the 701s. But then again, he wouldn, wouldn't he?

It cost me $250 shipped to Europe.

I don't have anything to compare it to headphones wise. i only currently listen on speakers. But I'll report back as to how it sounds to me.

Cheers

The tube rolling options are great:

"Also available for the very first time in a Little Dot amplifier, is an internal jumper to allow use with a wider range of driver tube-rolling, including the EF92, EF91, CV138, CV131, WE301A/B, GE5654, M8100, CV4010, EF95, 6JI as well as all equivalents to these vacuum tubes."

Cool.

Has anyone compared this amp with Little Dot Micro Tube?
Both same price range..
I'm considering getting one to drive my HD600 for classical chamber music or symphony works.

some people told me LittleDot's tube amps sound like solid state amp, is that your experience?

I too would love to know if this is true! I listen to alot of electronica, and I have this nagging fear that tube amps will muffle the sound and loose precision.
