Hey Guys... I recently purchased a Little-Dot MK2 used from the head-fi fs forum. So far, so good.

The amp came with a few tubes. I'm currently running Tung-Sol 6AK5s and Russian 6N6P-Is (6H6N-U in cyrillic). The power tubes are also marked CCCP (USSR).

I have a second pair of the 6H6N-U w/o the CCCP markings as well...Does anyone have direct experience comparing these two...any major difference???

Also, I have a pair of Mullard CV131 (E92s) driver tubes...haven't tried swapping the jumpers yet...opinions here?

Its all running from my G5 into a hotaudio 'DAC The Destroyer' and I'm using AKG K240Ms (I have a pair of Senn HD650s on the way as well).

Re: Gain settings, I am running them off/off (10)...appropriate for both the AKG and the Senns?

Lastly, Any MUST BUY tube suggestions for this amp...???

TIA

Nope... I've got the original chinese tubes as well. 2 pairs of Russian tubes...One pair with CCCP markings one without.

I'm pretty sure the 6H6's are Chinese,Soviet tubes were always well marked with the factory logo, date code and OTK certification stamp.

Weird,I'd be able to give you a better idea if you took a picture of them if that isn't too much trouble. Every Soviet tube I've ever come across has been marked, unless naturally if the marking has rubbed off.

Both Pairs are marked...One ADDITIONALLY has CCCP marked on it.

The other pair has the cyrillic tube designation, V111078, and OTK (symbol) only.

I use the russian 6ZH1P-EV + 6N6P-I in my MK2. The stock ones are noisy and a bit muddy from remembrance. The new tubes are clearer and almost noise-free it seems. The 6ZH1P-EV + 6N6P-I combo is well recommended in the MK2/3 threads and are quite cheap.

And the tubes are plug and play if you got the right ones, otherwise you need set some jumpers but thats all explained in the manual.
