I go this little dot the other day and man does it sound good. I also had an iBasso D1 and its no comparison (no offense you D1 lovers). It just sounds freaking amazing on my sennheiser HD 580's. I also tried it as a preamp with similarly spectacular results. i borrowed a Dynaco tube preamp that was recapped, and retubed, he was selling it for $300 used, even that didnt sound as good. This thing is a steal, and it makes me wanna buy the little dot IV to see what kind of sound improvements it has.

Well i dont think it's fair to compare a desktop amp to a portable, but im sure it sounds good.

How much burn in time on your LDII++??

My LD.MT has a little noise (i need a groundloop isolator). I think the volume control is good despite the reviews i read. The knob could be a little bigger or have Orings like on the CMOYs.

If you think it sounds good now then wait until you get some Russian power tubes in it.

I cant say it enough the clarity is so much better its not even a comparison, its like asking if a lamborghini diablo is faster than a stock honda civic. And to stress the point more I have a (and this is pathetic) integrated soundcard. So I am running this little dot from my integrated soundcard with no dac or anything, and that sounds way clearer than my iBasso going from USB to its DAC and its headamp. I have a monica2 USB DAC on the way and cant wait to hear the change!!

Glad to hear you enjoying. It's great when something this good is had for a cheap price. I have the Little Dot 2 + (it's predecessor)and it sounds great! Had it over a year and I still love it.

So I'm looking to pick up some Russian tubes for my LDII+ to do away with the arcing problem and improve the sound, will I be able to use the same power tubes the II++ uses or will I have to look for some more obscure tubes?
