Nothing beats getting turned on to new music and going on a musical journey with my headphones.

List 5 tracks that make for an exceptional listening experience via the cans.

Format: Artist > Album > Year > Track Name

Here’s my list to kick it off…

The Outlaws > Outlaws (1995 Remaster) > 1975 > Green Grass and High Tides
Brad Paisley > Part II > 2001 > Munster Rag
War > War Live > 1973 > Cisco Kid
The Beatles > Let It Be… Naked > 2003 > For You Blue
Santana > Santana III > 1971 > Guajira

I have the house to myself this weekend and I’m looking forward to all of your recommendations!

My head (and ears) like lots of detailed information.

I'm just starting my equipment journey and I think I'm off to a pretty good start with the E-MU 1212m > Foobar2000 > ASIO > PA2V2 > Grado SR225s.

Maybe now you can zero in on something for me to listen to

Gomez - Tijuana Lady
Chris Isaak - Two Hearts
Radiohead - Everything in it's Right Place (again the whole album)
Badly Drawn Boy - The Shining

Rebeca Pidgeon - Spanish Harlem
Squarepusher - Iambic 9 Poetry

The last 2 were shamelessly stolen from previous posts asking the same question.

Alice in Chains - Unplugged (sounds absolutely MAD on Grado RS-1)
Angels of Venice - Angels of Venice (the percussion and woodwind sounds REAL on the RS-1)
Diana Krall - Live in Paris (Exciting and good track for piano, vocals, drums and guitar

)
Opeth - Damnation (excellent for male vocals, clean guitar and bass guitar)
Maudlin of the Well - Bath / Leaving Your Body Map (umm ... you have to hear it)

for recording quality/performance
