Hi!

I have been listening to Amber Rubarth as of the moment, what other artists can you recommend guys that is within her genre? I love the music she plays and it suits well with my setup.. It blew me away.

Thanks.

1. There is a quite Decent Dac I guess in the Sansa so now you don't stricly NEED it but I would Recommend one.

2. The burn in thing could be a myth but no I would recommend only 25 hours or so for "burn in"

3. You did not, its a cheap player, dont expect too much of it, still great though, i use it.

Don't worry about being a newbie or a lurker, there are plenty of us about! :)

I've just bought the same Grado's as my first toe in the water for quality headphone sound, only had them about a week. Very impressed so far!

As far as the burn-in is concerned, I'm not qualified to answer that yet, but if they improve from where they are now, I'll be even more impressed!

You don't NEED a DAC, but you might hear some improvement. The only way to find out it to try one out. I don't know anyone I can borrow one from here, so I have ordered an ODAC to try, as well as a Little Dot mk3 tube amp. The Little Dot should be here tomorrow. Currently listening via the headphone output of my Mac desktop so I'm expecting to hear some improvements when this gear turns up.

Can't comment on the player at all, sorry...

I hate to disappoint you but you should probably have bought the Little Dot mk1. This amp is better with the 32ohm Grado's. Impenitence matching is key... That being said you are on the right track though. the mk1 is supposed to have very good synergy with Grado's.
