LG V60 ThinQ smartphone

Recently I have tried to find sound improvement over LG V60, but failed.
Tried: Mojo, Hugo 2, L&P W2, Cayin RU6, Chronos…. none of these USB DACs can get close to the sound quality of V60.

The more I try, the more I realize how good V60 really is: true reference sounding: with ultimate correctness, transparency, resolution, details, balance.

(To get the best sound out if V60, need to use UAPP player. It can get around the V60's default 3 filters. I hate all of the 3 filters.
These 3 filters sounds like OS filters, they will make sound processed, incorrect.
Using UAPP to bypass them, the sound is like NOS mode, the true original correct sound.)

I know this sounds insane, V60 far better than Hugo2 ? W2, RU6, Chronous … all combined? Maybe I am totally wrong. Hope someone experienced spend some time on V60 and give a proper review. V60 might deserve one.

Just posted something in the RU6 thread:

This phone still worth getting today? I have a V40 but T Mobile tells me it won't work anymore starting April 1st
Very surprised to hear that. What are the services t- mo are dropping on April 1st? Sounds like a bad April fool's joke.

I want a headphone jack, expandable storage, good dac, good Bluetooth audio codecs etc. The current phone choices out there don't seem to have all that.

V60 or ROG Phone 5(s) are the best choices right now: https://www.hypethesonics.com/dapti-database/.

Seems like the V60 is the only one that ticks all the boxes you want.

I found this online:

Sprint 2G/3G CDMA network shutdown date: April 1, 2022 (formerly January 1, 2022)
Sprint 4G LTE network sunset date: June 30, 2022
T-Mobile 3G network shutdown date: April 1, 2022 (formerly October 1st, 2021)

Looks like an LTE-connected V40 should be ok for a while yet?

I was told it won't work after April 1st. They are offering a number of sub-par phones for free with no contract or $400 off many better than sub-par phones. Going to get TMobile / Sprint back on the line today to discuss options. The literature does say June 30 though. That will give me a little more time.

I believe all V40 models sold in the US were the same - LM-V405UA. If your V40 is carrier unlocked (which would seem to be the least Sprint/T-Mobile could do for you given their aggressive sun-setting) then you could consider switching to AT&T or Verizon.

OTOH, the battery life on the V60 is waaaaay better than that on the V40.
