Hello All,

I have an LG V30 with Neutron player. All has been fine, but recently I notice that when I play DSD audio, I can just barely hear music at full volume. If I unplug my headphone, it pays fine through the phone's speaker. I believe I have all the setting correct in Neutron. Any ideas? TIA, Mike

sure thing! I have a feeling something is not right here...Everything is off, with the exception of....

Dither
Hardware gain
Audio focus
cpu wake lock
generic drive
-Hi-res codec (on)
-Hi-res speaker (off)
-Hi-res BT (off)
-Custom (off)
32-bit
DSD, DSD over PCM
Follow source
channels - stereo
freq- 44,100

Uncheck 32 bit

Check follow frequency

If still not ok, uncheck dsd over pcm

you my friend...are a genius. I had to uncheck dsd over pcm. Since you obviously know this program well, I have also removed the buttons along the bottom to minimize the program. Any idea there? Thanks again!

Why would the freq still say 44100 if you're playing DSD?

That frequency means default frequency that we can adjust if the device support hires setting for neutron (44100 48000 96000 etc.) So Default is 44100. But it doesnt relate to real output. Just in case you want a "fixed output frequency"

It doesnt mean the processing output frequency. So if you tick follow frequency, the output will show at topmost.

I'm somewhat confused So when I tick follow frequency on the Sony ZX2 with Neutron the topmost reading still shows 44100. I guess that's because the device doesn't allow 3rd party apps to output any higher? I'm using 24 bit 192k files. It shows that's what the file is on the main playback screen under the album art when music is playing. Just not sure whether I'm actually getting 192k hi-res playback or 44k.

Depend on version of neutron. If it is 2.0+, it will support bit perfect

If not or android os of sony is not supported, it wont work as bit perfect

Which means you should consider dx200 + amp4 already. LOL
