i have no interest in daps anymore after getting my v10 :D

it would really help if people who really are giving up their daps that they mention which ones

as many would like to know that

sony:frowning2:z1000,zx1,e635)
fiio:frowning2:x3,x5,x5ii)
cayin:n6
ibasso:dx90

That's what I'm saying.
A lot of people said DX100 / R10 sounds close to AK240. I had R10. V10 sounds just the same as R10 and it's actually better. I think V10 has more clarity.

V10 sounds like my Teac UD-H01 with a little less power.
You will not need more seriously. I can already hear bass guitar, drums, vocals, guitars clearly in a song.

I have given up my iBasso R10, Geek Out 1000, HM901, iBasso D55, iPod, Sony PHA 2 simply because V10 sounds better....It has the same DAC sound seriously.

And for those of you who spent 2k on desktop DACs, get a Teac UD H01 for $140 on EBay. You'll get Benchmark DAC2 quality sound from it.

Well, not a single person in my town and workplace knows about Fiio. Everyone knows about LG and Sony of course. That means Fiio is still a very unknown company
At this point, it's not worth investing on Fiio, iBasso, iRiver, Hifiman again. They've been good at draining people's wallets but not a single device from them sounds better than Teac UD-H01 Reference DAC / Audio Interface which costs $140. If you can't believe, try Teac UD-H01 by yourself. It has the same sound stage and instrument separation as Benchmark DAC2 at only 10% of its cost.

How did I compared them? I compared their sound stage width, detail, instrument separation, clarity and musicality. V10 sounds much better than HM901 which is more expensive and less efficient than V10.

Wait for Samsung S7 then. It's going to feature the same ESS Sabre DAC chip.  It will be released in few months.
U.S. version V10 has a sim card slot which you can put a sim card from your provider.

If your head is full of doubts, buy an AK380 and its amp module for total $4,000 and not listen to anything else again. Maybe buying a Hifiman's HE-1000 for $3,000 will help you with that too.

enjoy your little cellphone

I love my V10, but stock form it is not better than the AK240 or Sony ZX2. It's close, but those 2 daps are better. Rooted, different story, but a different sound too, one that is closer to my preferences. I was going to get another DAP prior to root, now I no longer need one. Still kind of want one though.

Wow I just downloaded the app called "Equalizer" and it has a Volume Amplifier that increased my volume by 4 steps (Music at 45 same volume as it was at 65 before).    Now I have no problem with some of those quiet vinyl rips I had trouble with on my 30 ohm X2s and I can't go past 50/75 on most of my other music.

Yes. My AKG K7XX, K712 and V10 combo can get 90% of HD800 and Teac UD-H01 combo.
Seriously. I tested them on hundreds and hundreds of songs now. They sound almost identical. V10 and K7XX setup has slight less power and detail but it comes very close to HD800 and Teac UD-H01.
It's amazing that I can get the same reference sound while walking on the street.

AKG K702 and K7XX are known to have very similar wide sound stage as that of HD800. Also, AKG headphones are much easier to drive than HD650 and SRH1840.

That's why I recommend AKG K712, K7XX, K702 for V10. You will get the maximum potential out of this smartphone DAC which has obviously less power than a desktop DAC.
