I ordered a these off ebay(probably OEM) to see what the Harman Kardon seal was about. Measurements made by a Korean site indicate that it really does follow the Harman headphone target quite well.

How are these? I've been contemplating either this or the Sony SBH80 for use at the gym. They're pretty much the same price.

I'm listening to them right now, it sounds a little mid to high bass oriented, yet not boomy or thick in any way. Mainly the treble sounds muted. Maybe I got a wack pair? The Sony on the other hand sounds hyped/scooped. Based on what I'm hearing I'd choose the Sony between the two. Although again I'm not sure I got the real deal. I expect a product with the Harman seal to sound a little more balanced and defined.

I compared my headset with pictures from here and it's missing various markings on the back. It might be OEM but made to a lower standard than retail. Watch out when shopping on eBay!
