I'm looking for Closed cans, pref portable, for public transportation. Boy oh boy, Sr-60's on the bus = nightmare. My budget is 100$ (USD). I mainly listen to classic rock, indie, some metal and also hip-hop. So yeah, a well-rounded closed pair of cans. Any suggestions!?

I've checked out reviews on the Panasonic RP-HTX7 & the Sony MDR-V6. Still looking for other suggestions.

Thanks

I don't know, I like my Audio Equation RP21 and all, but people laugh at me when I have them on - and thats when I'm in my own house. I can't imagine going out in public with them.

I checked their website and there's not a single dealer near my location. Can you purchase these online? If so, where?

former closed FOTM: AKD k81dj
current closed FOTM: AT-ES7

The former a little under $100, the latter a little over $100.

K81DJ looks a tad small for me, unfortunately.

And uh, i'm not looking for IEM's! Title says CANS.

Audio Technica ES7...if you can live with the bling: & at least your fellow passengers can check their make-up

Very nice spacious sounding phone, belies being closed. Pretty small so quite transportable.Isolates OK, leaks a little.

I would have thought you could pick them up in the States for $100 less shipping, with a bit of browsing. Don't quote me tho -wrong side of the Pond!

When you say, SR60 on a bus is bad, in what way? Sound coming in or sound going out or both?

The ES7 isn't great at isolating, if that is what you are looking for, isolation. What's your criteria?

I love my SR-60's! There's no doubt about it... but they are open of course, and people tend to get ticked off on the bus. So yeah, I'm looking for a pair of cans that doesn't LEAK , or atleast barely leaks.
